How do I delete my account?
On iPhone: your Profile tab, the ••• menu, Settings, then Delete account (the last row). Type DELETE and tap Delete forever. On the web: the menu, Settings, then Delete account.
This removes your ratings, watchlist, Canon, public profile, messages, comments and the sign-in itself, and it can't be undone. For your safety it needs a sign-in from the last 15 minutes: if it asks, sign out, sign back in and try again. If you signed in with Apple, we also ask Apple to remove Montage's access to your Apple ID.
How do I report someone?
Press and hold a message, take, reply or comment, then tap Report. On a profile, use the ••• menu, then Report. On a group photo, tap it, then Report. You can block the person in the same step. Reports are private: the person isn't told who sent them. We look at every report within a day.
To block someone without reporting them, use Block on their profile's ••• menu. You can see and undo blocks in Settings, Blocked accounts.
How do I import my ratings?
Montage reads the export file Letterboxd gives you. Download your export from the Letterboxd website (the Letterboxd app can't export), then in Montage open Settings, choose Import your Letterboxd export, and pick the .zip as it is. Ratings you made in Montage stay; a film rated in both keeps the newer rating. You can import again at any time to bring in what you have logged since.
Can friends join a movie night without an account?
Yes. Anyone with the movie night's link can join as a guest: they pick a name, choose their mood and vote, with no account, and can make an account later if they like. The host can remove any seat. A guest has no profile, so they can't be blocked; if a guest is a problem, the host removes them, and you can report their messages in the chat. A movie night's chat is deleted 30 days after the night.
